I knew Dickie from when he was 11 and I was 10. My grandma would babysit for their family when his parents (best friends of my parents)
went on vacation. I would go with her and have fun with Candy but even more fun with Dickie because I was such a tomboy. Dick Bingham was a great guy and a close friend of mine for our entire lives. He was my next-door neighbor growing up, and we got in all sorts of mischief both in Spokane and at our summer homes at Hayden Lake.
