I extend my deepest heartfelt sympathy and condolences to you all at the tragic loss of Dick. He was the most positive and friendly person I every met. I will never forget the way he made me feel welcomed as a new player on the platform tennis court. I have only fond memories of the times we had playing together. Debra and I will miss Richard very much. We will never forget how he went out of his way to make us Canadians feel at home for Doug and Janets Wedding.

I will miss Dick (Curly) tremendously. He always kept me updated on the latest Cubs,Bears,or Chicago team scores, stats, or gossip. I will always smile when I think of his smile or the friendly, cheerful way he answered the phone.
Me and my Canadian family are thinking of all the Blackwell children, their children, my mom, and the rest of my family in this time of grief. Dick will be sorely missed and thought of often.
