Not sure what to say?

Judy and I first met Dick, Marge, and family when we moved to Plano in 1981. We lived across the street from them and throughly enjoyed the entire family. We appreciated Dick's positive and optimistic attitude. We enjoyed the impromptu bridge nights and always looked forward to conversations with Dick. He was well read, always knew what was going in the community and business world. Although he might not always agree with everyone, his comments were always constructive and never...

Richard, a special person, inteligent and very sweet. Gave me the oportunity to know and visit Plano and Dallas city, to know one wonderfull family like Bodes that received me and welcomed me very well. I've lived good and unforgetable moments like saw the Richard's smile when he arrived home and I was painting woods with Marge and when all nights I was eating a bucket of popcorns in front of TV with him. Dear Richard, you will be always in my mind. God bless you and bring peace for Marge and...

Dick's strong faith and love of family helped sustain him through his years of suffering. We admire Marge for her unwaivering strength and support. The Andersons feel fortunate to have known Dick and become a part of the Bode family. Leone Anderson and family

We always enjoyed talking with Mr. Bode at family gatherings. He was at ease discussing anything from the Dallas Mavericks to the latest city bond election. We were always amazed that he could have so much information on so many different topics. Above all, he was always friendly and pleasant to talk to. The way he carried himself through difficult times was inspiring. He will be missed.

The DeGrow Family

Love and prayers for the Bode family and especially Marge. Dick would nearly always come to the door to say "Hi" to us painters and sometimes bring us popcorn. He had such courage and determination and he was an inspiration to us all.

Dear Marge and family, Don and I are so thankful for the special times we've shared with you and Dick. Over the last 2 years we've shared Thanksgivings, Easter, and the marriage of our children, Molly and Ryan. The memorial mass gave us just a glimpse of the servant Dick was. Anne, John, Julie, Ellen, and Molly are evidence that his loving, giving spirit lives on. What a blessing you and your family are to us. Love, Don and Bev Brown

Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Bode Famliy. We are so sorry for the lost of your beloved husband, father, grandfather, and all his other wonderful titles. Just know that he is no longer in pain and in the arms of our lord. he will always live on in your hearts, your laughs, and even in your tears. Mr. Bode will always be with you.

Lots of Hugs

My thoughts and prayers are with the entire Bode family. It was a beautiful service and a great tribute to a wonderful man. Although I didn't talk to Dick a lot I felt I knew him from all the stories in Marge's Tuesday night paint class. I had to chuckle when Ann read how her Dad said "I would like to fix things". I think we've heard that was not one of his strong points. Such a minor thing compared to all the GREAT things he was - Husband, Father, Grandfather, Friend and Politician. I...

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all and we will really miss Dick's gentle spirit. I am really glad to have visited with him a few months ago and to laugh about some of the old times when the U of H gang visited the Bode house. God bless your family. Brad & Christy Griffith, Hamburg Germany
