Stumpff Funeral Home - South Obituary

Richard D. Boozell, Branson West, MO, son of Dean and Leila (Duckworth) Boozell, was born August 25, 1940 in Derby, Iowa and departed this life on May 23, 2022 at the age of 81.


 


Richard had been a resident of the area for eleven years, moving here from Chariton, Iowa.  He had worked before retiring as an IT Computer Consultant.  He served his country proudly in the United States Air Force.


 


Richard was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Gail Boozell.


 


Survivors include: his wife of sixty-one years, Janet Boozell of Branson West, MO; two sons, Rick Boozell of Aurora, CO and Curt Boozell and wife, Paula of Bella Vista, AR; two daughters, Deborah Warren and husband, Dan of Pleasantville, IA and Kathryn Charleston and husband, Don of Maxwell, IA; ten grandchildren; ten great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.


 


Memorial Service for Richard will be Saturday, May 28, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Friendly Baptist Church Branson, MO with Pastor Monty Dunn officiating.  In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations go to the Church.


 


Arrangements are under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home Kimberling City, MO.

Not sure what to say?

I was saddened to hear of Dick’s passing from this world. Dick reminded me of my own Father, he was a great example to learn from, such a good man. I remember him talking about his golf game and his family. May God’s grace be abundant to the family at this difficult time.

Janet and family, I just saw this obituary online and am so sorry to hear of Richard's death. Seems that so many have passed lately. So thankful that he knew the Lord and is in Heaven with family and friends. Stay close to the Lord in the days to come.
