What a legacy as a husband, father, father in law, grandfather and substantive human being Richard made to the those he touched.

I remember meeting him only once, but at what a time...and as we met, under the most challenging circumstances for him, he reached out to me with such empathy and grace, and I felt his strength, power, intelligence, wit and humor. And with some of you, his family, right there by his side, he talked...

I'm sending my deepest sympathy for your loss of Mr. Borst. I know he will be deeply missed. Eventhough I didn't have much contact with him, when I did, he was the most pleasant person at all times. You all are in my prayers.

My most vivid memory of Dick, was at Mark and Shannon's rehearsal dinner. He stood and made a speech about not only gaining a daugter-in-law, but if we would allow him, he would like to adopt all of us since Dad was not here.
