Richard Bourget Sr., 71

WORCESTER - Richard J. Bourget, Sr., formerly of 21 Knight St. passed away peacefully at Millbury Health Care Center on November 22nd, 2013 with his family gathered by his side. Richard was born in Worcester, a son of Thomas S. Bourget, Sr. and Katharine I. (Vassar) Bourget. Richard grew up in Worcester and has lived here all his life.

Richards's wife, Jeanne (Vaudreuil) Bourget passed away in 1987. He is survived by a son, Richard J. Bourget, Jr.; three brothers, Thomas S. Bourget Jr., and his wife Cathy of NC, Lawrence E. Bourget and his wife Mary of Millbury, Albert R Bourget and his wife Gale of Holden; and his sister, Rosemarie (Bourget) Direnzo and her husband John Direnzo Sr. of Millbury; a grandson; granddaughters; and many nieces and nephews.

Richard owned and operated Tommy and Richie's Towing. He also worked for Angelica Transportation, retiring due to illness.

Richard was an avid motorcycle enthusiast, having been a member of the Friendly Riders Assn. He enjoyed snowmobiling, bowling, boating and N.E. Sport Teams.

Friends and relatives may attend calling hours Tuesday, November 26th from 4 pm to 7pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. A prayer service will be celebrated at 7pm. Burial in the family lot in St. John's Cemetery will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial remembrances may be made to the Joslin Diabetes Center, 1 Joslin Place, Boston, MA.
