Not sure what to say?

Richard, as I knew him, from grades 1-6 at the Charleston Day School, was a nice guy. Like me, he had to have been born in 1936 because we both started school in the fall of 1942. I never saw much of him after he must have gone to Meminger in the 7th grade. Robert Wilson

He will always be there - a permanent part of my memory. Good times and my treasured and trusted friend.

Dick and I worked together in our early years at NASA Langley Research Center. Dick was a very good engineer and a fine person to know. I was fortunate to have hi as a friend through the years.

Betty, I was surprised to hear that a good friend that Dick was to me, had passed away. My prayers are with you and the family. May the Lord Bless you in these times. God will take care of you.

Dear Betty and Family,
Friends and NASA co-workers for over 40 years, at work on at the docks where his knowledge of boats helped everyone . Great times - that's the best way to say it. Always a friend, always helpful and generous to a fault. His biggest weakness was his love for Betty. Outside of NASA, some of our best times were at the docks in Hampton. He will never leave my mind.

Betty, Donna and I have you and your family in our prayers. Dick was a good man and we always looked forward to seeing you and Dick at our NASA luncheons. I had the privilege of working with Dick for a number of years at Langley. He was very professional in his relationships
with personnel and in applying his
engineering skills. God bless you and
your family. Donna and Buddy Young

I worked with and for Dick for a number of years, and always found him helpful, humorous, and dedicated to the task at hand. I always looked forward to seeing him at our post-retirement monthly luncheons. Penny joins me in sending our thoughts and prayers to the family.
