Richard P. Brady

Richard P. Brady, 77, of LaGrange, IN, died Friday, February 6, 2009 at Parkview LaGrange Hospital. Living his lifetime in LaGrange County, he was the former owner of Brady Stockyards and was a United States Army Veteran. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in LaGrange, LaGrange American Legion Post # 215, LaGrange Rotary Club, LaGrange Moose Lodge, LaGrange County Merit Board, a nineteen year member of the LaGrange Fire Department, and was on the Board of Directors of Citizens Bank from 1974-1979. Mr. Brady was born on February 5, 1932 in Kendallville, IN to the late Michael P. and Eva V. (McGrew) Brady. On October 7, 1995 in LaGrange, IN he married Sandy (Walker) Householder. She survives in LaGrange. Also surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Paula J. and Tim Balk of Elkhart, IN, and Anne M. and Joe Billman of LaGrange; three step-daughters and two sons-in-law, Shelly and Roy Williams and Kim and Steven Clouse all of Kendallville, IN, and Tonya Householder of Orlando, FL; three grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty and Edwin Beiser and Marilyn and Richard Miller all of LaGrange. Also preceding him in death was a son Michael A. Brady in 1970. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, February 9, 2009 at 10:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Mark Weaver and Pastor Michael Booher officiating. Burial will be Greenwood Cemetery in LaGrange with a military graveside service. Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 8, 2009 from 2-7 pm at Frurip-May Funeral Home in LaGrange with a Rosary Service at 7:00 pm. Memorials may be made to the Youth of St. Joseph Catholic Church, South Milford Church of Christ, or Parkview Home Health and Hospice.
