Richard Harris Bretz Jr.

He was always a good person to be around at Tulane. I hope I let him know how much I appreciated that.

Dear Bretz family: I mourn with you at the loss of one whom I have admired from his high school years. His steady commitment to a life of service for those around him and indeed to larger things marks one who knew his calling and reveled in it. I did not get to see him much this last half-century, but through my brother Scott was put with him from time to time. He went too soon. May God's tender mercy now take hold, and may we who loved and appreciated him come to know that mercy always.

I´m sorry for y´all loss. I worked for Richard for 37 years on the North-shore at Abita Springs plant. Best Boss I had so far in my life.

Michelle, I have been out of town and just learned this morning of Richard's death. I am sorry for your loss and always enjoyed knowing my Baton Rouge friend. I even looked for yall at NOMA recently. Richard was a wonderful man and always had a smile on his face.
