Not sure what to say?

My belated deepest sympathy to all of Dick's family. He had been on my mind and I was saddened to learn just recently that Dick passed away last August, but am so proud to learn of all that he did. I was a close childhood friend of Dick's in Atlanta from about age 6 or 7 until he moved to Lynchburg when we were 12 or 13. Carolyn and Boots, I have fond memories of the many days and nights being included in your home with your family on Woodcrest Ave. as "Dickie's" constant tag along sidekick...

My thoughts are with Dick's family. I am so very sorry for your loss. I met Dick in Denver, CO and we shared many conversation about our love of our Boxers. What a great man indeed.

dick was 1 of a kind , a beautiful soul inside out, a true friend that always had a smile and touched everyone he encountered in some shape, form or fashion, he will be greatly missed , see you my friend you were a special person, you will never be forgotten

Our thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.

I got to know and admire Dick when I reported for the Los Angeles Times on his personal journey and professional commitment to overcome his cancer and develop an improved treatment for it. My condolences to his family.

I met Dick Brewer many years ago and was impressed and amazed by his wisdom and passion. He had wonderful stories and his love for his family and his work were so impressive. I am saddend by this news and I send my deepest sympathy to his family.

It was a great pleasure to have worked and known an individual with such an amazing pioneering spirit. Dick will surely be missed. My heartfelt condolences to his family, and specially to Tyler.

My thoughts are with Julie and the beautiful extended family during this difficult time. Richard was a terrific guy with a personal style that was instantly likable and the world has a big hole in it with Dick's passing.

Regretably cousin Dickie and I did not stay in touch over the years so I am all the more grateful to have seen him when he was in Washington several months ago. My memories of Dickie date back to our childhood when we were often together for holidays and summers at our grandfather's farm, Winton. A magical place for children that left an indelible imprint on the lives of Kelsey/Brewer kids. Great memories. My deepest condolences to Dick's family and to my surviving cousins Boots and...
