Richard N. Broad, 86, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at RWJ University Hospital at Hamilton. Born and raised in Trenton, he had been a resident of Bordentown Township for many years.


Richard was a member of the Naval Reserves in 1955 and had worked and retired from Roebling Steel in Trenton. He was also a standard bred horse trainer and driver, had worked as the local Deputy Game Warden and was a member of Mt. Moriah Lodge #28 F&AM of Bordentown.


Richard enjoyed hunting, fishing and going to the casinos. He also enjoyed his neighbors and hanging with his buddy’s. But his family was most important to him. He loved his daughters and his beloved dog Willow.


He was predeceased by his parents Bertrum and Pauline Broad, his beloved wife Mary Angelini Broad, his sister-in-law, Carmella Nutter and his son-in-law, Dave Garber, he is survived by his loving daughters: Terri Garber of Jobstown and Cindy Broad of Bordentown Township. His sister: Penny Smith of Whiting. Sister-in-law: Sherri Bowe of Bordentown. Niece: Leanne Chamberlin and her husband Jeff. Nephew: Anthony Nutter and his wife Sandy, his great niece: Jackie Chamberlin and several nieces, nephews and many dear friends.


Funeral Services will be 11 am Monday, April 19 at the Peppler Funeral Home, 122 Crosswicks St, Bordentown, NJ. Friends may call from 9 am until time of service at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Bordentown Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Mulligan’s Animal Rescue, 129 Bell Ave, Mt. Royal, NJ 08061.
