God bless you my neighbor and friend. Thank you for your Service to our Country. We miss you every day. The Latoff Family

I am very sorry to hear that Dick has passed. i wish I had known sooner. He gave me my first haircut, and probably about 100 after that. His shop was just down the street from my parents house and I can still remember the smell, sitting there with my dad and grandfather, waiting my turn and flipping through photography magazines. He probably never realized it, but he was a part of SO many of our lives. We lost my grandfather a few weeks before Dick passed away. Time is fleeting and we must...

I was very sorry to hear of Dick's passing. I met Dick when he joined Joe Brudnack's barber shop on the north side of Susquehanna St.; mid 50's I think. He continued as my barber until I enlisted in the Air Force after graduation in 1965. I always enjoyed going to him for a haircut. He was funny and always seemed in a good mood. I feel fortunate to have had him as my barber during my growing up years. He was just a "cool" guy. My condolences to his family.

Dick and I grew up in the same neighborhood at 5th and Allen sts. Our paths went in different directions but we hooked up again at the Allentown HS reunions and infrequently when I came to town for a haircut. Haircuts were always special because of his personality and vast knowledge of all our old friends and their escapades. He was better than CNN or Fox and I was always amazed at the latest hot news from AHS, '52. He touched a huge number of lives and I will miss him. A one of a kind guy.

Deepest Condolences Bouquet

Dick was my barber for 30 years, from my first haircut until just a few years ago. He also cut my father's hair and my grandfather's hair. He was a great man and I had the pleasure of speaking with him on multiple occassions about history, his military service, his early days as a barber, and multiple other topics. He will be missed. My sincerest sympathies to the family.

To the Brobst family,
Please accept my sincere condolences in the passing of your father. I was one of his customers for a number of years prior to moving away from Allentown 15 years ago. He was a very good conversationalist and we had many good times chatting together about whatever.
May the Lord be near and dear to you as you go through this difficult time of bereavement.

What a great neighbor. Sorry I had to move away. Always enjoyed spending time with Dick and listening to whats going on. Many stories from him talking to people in the barber shop. Was great to keep his snow blower over the winter and do my sidewalk across the street and then do his. Always had a beer for me when I was done. Miss you Buddy.
