Richard Brockett

As a teacher, Mr Brockett was always willing and helpful to make sure every student made "giant steps toward the wall of success". As a coach, he encouraged each team member "commit your body to the cause". (Of success) As a person, he would always take the time and interest to find out "how you were doing these days"? A great example of a leader. A great example to follow. Kiddies.

Amy and family, so sad to hear of your father´s passing. I recall fondly his history and government classes back in the 1970´s. I can still hear his voice as he stood in front of the class and referred to us as "kiddies" and then proceed to spin a yarn about Ceaser, Lincoln, or any other giant in history. He is easily at the top of the list of my favorite teachers. I am sure he made a difference in a many of his students lives as he did mine. God rest his soul.

He was a great teacher. The day before tests he offered himself or in his words, "Oz is upon his throne, and you can ask him anything!" He also had patiences as the first question soon thereafter had nothing to do with the test subject at hand. He'll live on within the hearts and more importantly the minds of his students.
