Not sure what to say?

I always looked forward too talking with Richard. He was very knowledgeable on the Bible and many other topics, including sports and music. He was staunch in his faith in Jesus, and wasn't shy about sharing it with everyone who would listen. Richard was not only a great friend, but a real inspiration to all of us who loved him and were blessed to have him as a friend. I look foreword to seeing him in heaven.

Richard was an incredible Godly man who touched the lives of all that were blessed to know him.

A dear brother in Christ and colleague at Goddard Space Flight Center. Ruth, family, and friends, I think of Richard often. He was a wonderful, kind, man that always had time for me. I always thought of him too when passing his office window in building 20. We shared many battles together working on the Hubble Replacement Battery Modules. Those Modules, replaced in the spring of 2009, continue to perform perfectly. A lasting legacy to Richard's engineering skills. I'm dealing with ALS...

My friend

I remember Richard as an excellent engineer and a calm caring presence in the bustle of Hubble Space Telescope operations. I salute his service.

Dear Ruth, It is lovely to see so many folks who knew Richard from work write in this book. I wish I'd gotten to know Richard better. My prayers are with you all. Megan

I worked with Richard on HST, specifically the battery replacement effort. He was a respectful, considerate, good man. I won't forget the nice things he did for me and am glad I had the opportunity to work with him.

Richard it was great knowing you in this world. Though you were loved here I'm sure it can't compare to the Love your experiencing now with God.

To the Broderick Family

I am a retired Lockheed Martin battery consultant, who worked with Richard on the HST Battery Servicing Mission.

Richard was one of the best systems engineers that I ever worked with. He knew almost as much as I did about the HST batteries and that says a lot.

I am very sorry for your loss but know that he will live on in your hearts as he does in mine. Richard was a true gentleman and an outstanding engineer.
