Still missing Rich!

Rich was authentic and the world was a better place for him just being Rich.

My name is Nicole Martinez, my mother is Carmen Martinez. Rich was a vey dear friend to my mother and is someone I will never forget. He was there for her until the day she took her last breath, he wrote about her journey through cancer, he brought her ashes to me on his motorcycle so she could take her last ride. He meant a lot to her, he meant a lot to me. This is so sad to see he passed away. My condolences. Rich was a very sweet, loving, kind, caring man. There arent any words to express...

The world lost a great guy with an unbelievably fun personality that could mix in the fun of HPC with that wonderful laugh which we will miss so much. We really enjoyed working with him at Sun. Blue skies Rich. My condolences to the family, friends and fellow Sun folk.

To: MARY Katarincic - thank you so much for that beautiful, wonderful tribute video. It tore my heart out and left me a blubbering mess. Rich was such a dear, dear friend. My love and condolences to you and your family.

Rich was truly a special guy. I went to school with him at UW Stout. We were roommates. We stayed in touch ever since. I followed his career and always enjoyed our time. Whether a phone call or in person. He will be missed. Condolences to the entire family (and Logan).

Missing my big brother. You picked me up more than once when I fell. You held my hand when I was scared. You shared your love of music, Star Trek and Godzilla with me and my boys. You had a laugh that I will always remember. You trusted that I would take care Logan. I promise I will not let you down.

Rich was a larger than life figure in his work and his travels. If he was your friend, you knew he had your back right up to the wall. But the most important thing to him was to be a good father. Logan, my heart is breaking for you. All sympathy to you and the rest of your family.

Weve lost a great guy. His laugh alone could be heard in the hallways were I saw him most often at conferences, but also meeting up for meals to catch up. He was truly a light - and always with a smile.
