Not sure what to say?

Robert, I was so touched when I read your note. I've come back to it a few times. For some reason it makes me feel connected. I knew you briefly when you were a little boy, and have thought of you from time to time over the years. My mom, Sarah, and Richard Bruno were brother and sister. I am so happy that you live near Lisa and that you two get to spend time together. I wish you peace and joy in your life always, as life can be so complicated sometimes.

I carry Richard's last name because he married my mother years before I came into this world, but she kept it after their divorce. I lost my mother in 1983 and I remember Richard paying his last respects to her, he was an honorable and decent man in life. Although I never knew him well, I am saddened by his passing as he was always one of the pillers in my turmultous life as well as the father to three of my half-siblings. My heart and prayers go out to all who knew and loved him.

I am deeply saddened to hear of Rich's passing. Rich was a kind, respectful, wonderful, fun-loving man; he was very special to me and my circle of friends. We shared many happy times together and I know how deeply he cared for his family. My heart goes out to all of you and I extend my deepeest condolences. I am sorry I was not at the services - I just got the news today and I am heartbroken I was not there. I will keep all of you in my prayers.

My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.
