What an outstanding celebration of Uncle Dick's life yesterday at the funeral service. The testimonies of his love for God and others was such an encouragement to all who were there. Hallelujah!

I always was drawn in by Uncle's eyes. But in the photos, it is his perpetual smile that reminds me most of him. It truly was ever present, and now reminds me of the optimistic, fun-loving personality that he had. Thanks for being a part of my life, uncle. Thanks for the impromptu visits, the soul-bare conversations about grief and the tender, loving minutes gazing at sunsets in silence.

Time spent on this earth is very minute, what we do with it is a testament of us. I didn't know Richard, but knowing some of his family says he used his time well. Be at peace knowing he is well cared for now.

My heart aches for the loss of our Uncle and for the sorrow this passing brings to our wonderful cousins and their families; as well as for all who loved him so dearly.
Memories of knowing Uncle Dick along with the plentiful memories our family made together throughout the years are certain to bring comfort and a smile with each visit we make along the journey of his life.
Please know you are all held dear to our hearts now and always - with love,
Barb
