I worked with Dick in Ben Tre, Kien Hoa in 1967 and 1968. He was 30, I was 25. We were so young. He was an excellent leader of our civilian and military advisory team and advisor to the Vietnamese. Years later Dick and I helped Thoi, his interpreter, and his family get settled as refugees here in Arlington. After that we lost contact, I guess involved in raising our families and our careers. I have memories of a good person.
