Richard Caitung Obituary
Richard Caitung, Beloved and best friend of Arlene nee Paul. Loving father of Rick and Rocky. Richard died suddenly, friday after a brief illness. He was traveling with his wife and son Rick in Santa Barbara, CA. They had a beautiful partnership, in love and life. Richard graduated from Lake Forrest College. He followed his fathers footsteps and worked for him at Wabash Power Equipment Co. Richard eventually took over the helm in the mid 90's, where he became the CEO and Chairman of Wabash Power Equipment Company. Wheeling Il. He was a Titan in the Power equipment industry.That is where his heart was. He was relentless in detail and was forward thinking in utilizing the latest technology as an edge in the market place. He was really committed to his business and loved his employees, he considered them family. Richard overcame many obstacles in his life. He was a Holocaust survivor and immigrated with his mother and father to this country in 1948. He was a veteran of the Vietnam war. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to charity of your choice. Service Tuesday 11:00am at The Weinstein Funeral Home 111 Skokie Blvd Wilmette, Il 60091. Mr. Caitung provided my family and I with a blessing of a lifetime. Thank you for your act of kindness when we really needed it. You gave us something that helped us get out of a really tough time and your act of kindness will never be forgotten. We hope you know how grateful we are for what you provided us with.
