I was priveliged to travel to Italy 20 years ago with Richard, Agnes and her, sister, Cathy when he was a very gifted singer in our church choir. My first trip abroad was immeasureably enhanced by their knowledge of the language and the culture as opera devotees. Richard's acute sense of humor enlivened that trip and all our subsequent conversations. He was a towering icon.

What a joy to have known you and shared in your love for Agnes and life! It was an honor to have your insight and wisdom that you gave so freely in times of need for others! You are greatly missed! Our prayers are with you Agnes, for family and friends. May the LORD comfort your hearts!

He always joked around at work when he volunteered at the information desk at St. Clare Hospital. I loved his jokes. I miss not adjusting his suspenders too!

Uncle Richard will always be Obi Wan Kenobi in my memories, and the most giving person I have known. It is a privilege to have known you in this life, and I look forward to the next. My heart goes out to Agnes.
