Rich and I were friends since the 1980s. We also had Yankees ticket plans together. Between the road trip and the game, we spent some long days together. I always enjoyed Rich's friendship. He had a great sports mind and a big heart. He was an-all around nice person. I never once heard anyone say anything negative about him, which is a rarity nowadays. When I think of Rich, I see his big smile and hear his laugh. He sure did like to laugh and smile a lot, and he had a great sense of humor. I...

Deepest condolences to the Carter family,
May God comfort and strengthen you during this difficult time.

I've known Rich for over 30 years since I started working for the State of NJ. We were computer operators together for years. Working now at Riverview Plaza, Rich would walk by my desk every morning and greet me with a "Good Morning, how ya doin'?" I miss that! He was a great guy and he will be missed by many! His family and friends are in my thoughts and prayers.

I'm sorry to hear about rich, if there is anything I can do steph please let me know. You are in my heart and prayers.

I knew Rich from day one of my 33 years here with the state,we went to a lot of Islander/Rangers games both at the Nassau Collisium and Madison Square Garden, we were partying brothers and sports fanatics.
He brought a lot of enjoyment into my life and touched everyone in his company,me and the boys who gathered together for a few beers and watch the games will always have the empty seat next to us for Rich.
Until we meet again in heaven brother Rich,I will miss you, and I know you will...
