I have many vivid memories of Dick that come racing to my mind today which I want to share. My dad, Darwin Dornbush, General Counsel to Restaurant Associates for many years, invited Dick to play a round of golf at Engineers Country Club and I had the pleasure to be part of the foursome. Secondly, by happenstance, Dick and I were seated next to each other at the Super Bowl in Miami Gardens during the pouring rain to watch Peyton Manning win his first Super Bowl as QB of the Colts. You are loved and missed everyday, for you were SOMEONE SPECIAL, who meant more than words can ever say. RIP Dick

Mr. Cattani was a class act and a Man of his word. He was a tremendous mentor and a silent support for so many. My deep condolences to his family and friends. We celebrate his life always.

Dick was a mentor and inspired me to do my best. He always remembered my name and greeted me with a smile. He was a wonderful person and the world will miss him dearly.

Dick was terrific friend who was also a valued partner in hospitality education. The University of Delaware is forever indebted to him for his encouragement and sage advice during the early days when we looked to establish the hospitality school.
