Richie and his family have been friends & neighbors of mine since 1990. Around the neighborhood Richie was lovingly known as the "Cookie Man". No matter when he was walking his beloved daschound Franz, Richie had a pant pocket full of doggie cookies for his other 4-legged friends. The neighborhood dogs flacked to Richie whenever he was outside - in fact my dog (Simon) embarrassingly ripped his pant pocket in his attempt to get another cookie; Richie just laughed and laughed while Ellie...

I had the great honor of knowing Richie for more than 40 years. He was my brother-in-law for 23 of those years. As the song goes "to know him is to love him" He was one of a kind and someone I will never forget. My condolences go out to his wife and children and grandchildren. You have lost a wonderful husband, father and grandfather.
