I am saddened to learn of Richard's passing last year. He was my trainer for a time (on my dad's recommendation) at the Orange Avenue Gym in Orlando nearly 30 years ago. I so enjoyed my sessions with Richard. I can remember him showing me the meticulous notes in his very tiny and precise handwriting! he was compiling on his family's history. Rest in God's Peace, Richard...you will be remembered by many in so many ways, but foremost among these is your kind and gentle nature. From the tall and skinny guy living three doors down on Alfred Drive, to the lifeguard at the KMA Pool, and to the muscular guy my dad & I saw at Florida Southern College, your brilliant mind and meticulous ways made conversations interesting and car mechanics precise! You took that attention to details with you to Mobile and helped many find their roots....

I met Richard a handful of times, usually at funerals. He was an interesting and fact filled guy. He will be missed and I offer my condolences to his/our family.
