Not sure what to say?

I worked with Ritchie during the early 70's st Kneeland St. He and I were firemen for Boston Edison Co.
He went on to work at Pilgrim station in Plymouth Ma.

He was a great person. I have an old picture that I took of him when he was around 2or 25 years old. I'll try to find it and somehow send it to his family.

Richie ~ Happy birthday, big brother! You are loved and missed so much, and we have been so blessed to have you! Thank you for the wonderful influence you have had on so many people! You are never gone nor forgotten!

To Rich's family: after I returned home following the viewing, I wrote the following....

A friend of mine died Tuesday. We met a few years ago at a Cancer Support Group meeting. Rich was in his second bout with cancer. He had been diagnosed some years ago with Stage 3 lung cancer, which he beat. Chemo and radiation twice a day for a year.

This time, it was pancreatic cancer. Rich was no dummy. He knew the score, but never once did I hear him utter a self-serving word. ...

Richie was like a part of my family and I looked up to him as if he were my own uncle. He was always a huge influence on me and a great role model. He will be missed incredibly.

To The "Richie Chin Family" especially my two special friends Mal & Meg I shed tears for you as I know how much it hurts to lose someone so special. I met Richie only once, and immediately knew how special he was. May his wonderfuul memories always live in your hearts.

My respect and sympathy to Richie's family and close friends. I will keep a part of him with me always, because some of who I am is in no small part do to the memories of him and his friends living the best life they could and being honorable people. As a young man I absorbed much and to this day I am applying what I learned to better my life and my families. Thankyou Richie I will miss you...

Richie was my best friend. Richie made us all better for having known him. I will miss him so much. Denise, April and Tina I will always be there. love Jay
