Chirgwin, 60, husband of Nancy Hamilton Chirgwin of 5550 Queen Victoria Dr., Leesburg, FL, formerly of West Haven, father of Jodi Memmott, Mark Chirgwin both of West Haven, Brian Chirgwin of Clermont, FL, step-father of Mark Core of Edinburgh, Scotland and grandfather of Arlyn Memmott of West Haven. He was predeceased by a sister, Alice Anderson. Richard was born in Derby, CT, May 27, 1943, son of Clarice ''Dewey' Wilson Chirgwin of Leesburg, FL and the late Richard Chirgwin. He was a graduate of UNH and worked as a supervisor at the Dept. of Social Services in Middletown until his retirement in 1997 and also was a real estate investor in West Haven. Funeral service at BEECHER & BENNETT TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME, 410 Campbell Ave. at Court St., West Haven, Mon., June 30, 2003 at 10 A.M.
