Richard Churchward

We are deeply saddened by the loss of Richard Churchward. He was a fine man, father and friend to many. He was warm and funny, a great and passionate coach for Ann Arbor Junior Football and will be remember by all who knew him. Our thoughts go out to Liz, Mike, Jesse and Drew as we know the loss will be with them forever.

Mr. Churchward was one of my favorite baseball parents at Pioneer games. I played with Mike, and know the entire family well, and I am so sorry for their loss. I have such great memories of those games, his loud voice cheering us on and always offering words of encouragement. He always seemed to take such a personal interest in all of us; trying to help us not only as an athlete, but also as a man. He always had a smile and a good, firm handshake for me, even as I grew up- he never forgot...
