Dear Carrie... I'm so sorry to read about your loss of Dick. We were friends long before I met you, when as young kids we played baseball on "The Green", the lawn adjacent to the old Loretto property. He was the best player among us and the only one who could hit the ball far enough to reach the residence. It was a mixed bleessing. I remember him as a kind, helpful, gentle man. I hope that you and your family will be sustained by rich memories of a good guy. Sincerely, Steve Driscoll

Carrie,

When I first met Danny, he was at a point in life when he needed someone to believe in him. That person was Dick. He gave Danny more than a job; he gave him direction and worth. We will be eternally grateful for his unconditional love. Your love for Dick was also a true inspiration to everyone around you. May he rest in peace and my you be comforted by his endless love for you. I am so glad Danny and Fred can be there with you.

With your love and strength Dick lived a full and wonderful life regardless of his illness. It was a joy sharing all the birthdays (sometimes Dickless) with such wonderful friends. Stay part of our life. All our love. Mary and Fred Chappell
