I met Dick at Notre Dame High School and we became good friends. Dick was really a nice guy and we loved to ride around town in his beautiful 1957 Plymouth Fury. We packed the Fury with 3 couples to go to our senior prom. Dick and his date was in the front seat and two couples were jammed into the back seat but no one complained. I remember the night your dad proposed to my sister. Oh, they were so happy. Your dad was always very kind to me and my family and I will always remember him for that. He was very fortunate to have all of you taking such good care of him these last few years. I know that made his life a little better. I am so sorry for your loss, and wish I could be there in person. Treasure your memories of your family , they are very precious.

Dear Kim, Steve, Paula, Beth and Judy and all the grandchildren. We send our very deepest sympathies on the loss of Dick. He was a lovely man, soft-spoken, kind-hearted and always quick with a smile and laugh and a joy to be around. I will cherish the time we spent together growing up at the cottage and enjoying holidays we shared.
