Not sure what to say?

I remember Mr. Claypool as my phys. ed teacher 1960-1961. He was a good and decent man and a wonderful teacher, but no-nonsense. And damn....he could kick a football half-a-mile.

When I told him I had enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps he offered me a place on the varsity basketball team (bench) if I would stay in school. I did not stay and instead enlisted.

So sorry to hear of your loss. Sally and Greg have told me so many fun stories about Dick over the years.

My sincerest condolences and sympathies for your loss of Coach Claypool. He will forever be with us in the memories of those whose lives he touched. ISAIAH 40:31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles, they shall run and not be weary, and they shall walk and not faint.

So Much More Than A Coach To So Many Of Us.

My condolences to the Claypool family. RIP Dick. I enjoyed playing football with you as my coach. You taught me a lot and I'll never forget you.

I'm so very sorry for the passing of a great man. It was an honor to have known him and to have played for him. I will look forward to the day we see each other again in heaven.

Earl Ritter 1963-1964

Rest In Peace Mr. Claypool A life well lived!

So sorry for your loss. 2 Thessalonians 2 : 16, 17 says, " Moreover, may our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and gave everlasting comfort and good hope by means of undeserved kindness, comfort your hearts and make you firm in every good deed and word. "

It was an honor playing football for you and along side your son Greg at FHS in 1978. It was a great experience that I will never forget. Thank you and RIP.
