Read MoreAt times he seemed gruff, and always a presence. But my most vivid memory of Dr. Cleveland was when just he and I were making rounds at The Floating during my third year. I told him I was interested in taking care of children, but that they scared me. The Chief looked me in the eye and said, "Jeff, they scare me, too." He helped so many of us.
