My Dad and Mom were great friends of Richard's Dad and Mom. (Dick and Kay as I knew them) My dad and Moms name is Andy and Dorothy Richard. They moved from Washington Township,N.J. back in 1961 to Bellevue, Wa. but always kept in touch and made a couple of visits back east. I believe Kay and Dick might have visited them in Palm Desert. In 1990 I had the privilege of meeting Rich fresh out of law school, having just passed the bar and just being sworn as an attorney. My first case was with Rich, the 21 defendant pro-life case in the Irvington Municipal Court. These brave men and women had been arrested for praying the rosary in front of the abortion mill while others blocked the entrance. I knew Rich as a Law Clerk at the firm he was with in Somerset NJ in 1984. Although I only worked for him for one summer his impact has stayed with me my entire legal career.

Truly a great man, personally and professionally. I had the honor of working with Rich in the pro-life arena. His commitments and abilities were unparalleled and they will surely be missed.
