I'm sorry for your loss .Richard and I were best friends growing up on lincoln st.I had many a good times at there house and he at mine .we played little league baseball together for FOP .I'll never forget all the fun we had I tried to find him a few years ago. again I'm sorry for your loss .R.I.P may God be with your family.

I just read of Rich's passing on the W-L class of '86 Facebook page. I am so sorry for your loss. I knew him way back when and I remember that he lit up every room that he was in. I only have positive memories of him (except for that tack he put on my chair in chem. class in 11th grade- and even that memory I'm smiling about). Tears are being shed for him in the Middle East tonight, and I know speak for the entire Sievers family of Arlington, VA, when I say that Richard will be missed.

Mindy,
I was online trying to reconnect with you and ran across the news of Rich's death. Mark and I were so shocked. My dad died of colon cancer so we all too familiar with the details of the illness. Mark and I have fond memories of our Blacksburg years with you, Rich and baby Christian (remember how much I loved that little guy?). We are praying for strength for you as you begin your journey as a single mother and for Christian and Morgan.
Love, Mark, Ann, Nick Hannah, and...

Our thoughts are with your family,no words are enough however we are so sorry for your families loss.

To the Conklin Family,

I am truly sorry for your loss and i wish i could have had my phone to talk to Christian when this happend but was not able to because of the school I am at. COach COnklin was a very loved man around the community and a great coach, father, and husband. All of you are in my prayers and he will be greatly missed. Rest in Peach Coach Conklin

My thoughts and prayers go out to the Conklin family. I knew him in high school, and although we ran in different circles, Richard was a very positive, kind person who embraced everyone.

Dear Conklin Family,

I am so, so saddened and simply hurt to hear of Rich's passing. I work at Northern VA Community College and I believe Rich was the most helpful account Rep. I have ever met. I'll miss his "loving life" voicemail greeting (because I called him so much) and simply all the good energy he exuded.
