It seems like it was just yesterday when I saw you dickie! There is not a day that does not pass were I don't think about you! I can't belive it has been this long. You were like my second dad!

Tonight we Ride!!! As the winters roll on you are greatly missed- we cheers to often as The Hoopers run the trails of the north woods...in rememberance of our rides, fun, smiles...and bantering...Dickie we love you bud!

I have to share this memory with all who loved Dickie and miss his bright face on this earth. Friday October 27, 2006, I'm running around in the morning frantically trying to get out of the house, I'm late for work, trying to get license plates for my boyfriends' truck, makes me even later. I find myself angry, anxious and miserable knowing I've accomplished nothing in 2 hours but get re-directed 6 times by the Wisconsin D.O.T.! but that's another story. I'm driving west on 94 towards...

A Poem of Remembrance
“Dickie”

On Friday October 28th, 2005 shocking news spread by mid-day;
Our Friend Dickie Cool had passed away.

His family and friends sat down and asked why;
Did God have to take this young energetic guy?

So God looks down and says, “ Now let us reflect;
On a life lived full with many, many friends he respects.
A man who loved life and stopped rarely to rest;
Who took any snowmobile, motorcycle, Jet Ski to...

I was so sorry to see in the paper that dickie had died. i went up in my first hot air balloon ride on the wednesday before he died. i never met him before but i could tell he had a great sense of humor. He didn't even get mad when his chase truck was late because it got stuck. Everyone on the balloon helped him get the air out of the balloon and all the neighborhood kids were climbing all over the balloon and gondola and he never once told them to get off. He rolled on that balloon like...
