So sad to hear about Richie passing...so young!!! I met Rich in the Fugasi Bowl in 1985.. he was the enemy since I played for Tottenville. When it was over , we became real close and was one of the best football players I have been around and most importantly was a great man. My prayers go out to his family !!! RIP#1

I'm sure Niño Morreale is striking up the band for the New Dorp fight song. I'm sure Mr. O'Brien(English teacher and Former priest) is saying the pre-game prayer I 'm sure Robert Loggia is rallying the team with an inspiring pre-game speech. And I'm even pretty sure...

Richie was one of the toughest players I ever coached in 18yrs at New Dorp. I was heartbroken when I heard of passing. You would what Richie in your foxhole when your life was at risk. The New Dorp football family has lost one the great ones with his passing. God is getting one hell of a football player for his team. Richie will be greatly missed and I will pray for his family. Love you Richie RIP. Coach Gerry DAngelo.
