Dick and I bonded in friendship in the early 1950s, when we entered the Civil Air Patrol cadet program in Portland---First in the Portland Training Squadron, later Portland Squadron 1. Our mutual interest in aviation and immediate friendship lasted for many decades. Dick went on to became a pilot and flew across the United States, much to my admiration. My name is Diane Bruck and I live at the top of Creston Park. Dick and I were very active together in the CKNA. I am VERY sorry to read of the passing of Dick; he was a good neighbor and friend. I pass the house he lived in on 42nd almost weekly and always wondered how he is doing. My condolences go to all his family.
