Old school friends; roomies at CU one semester in 1960. Hitchhiked together to San Francisco in Spring of '60 Made my dad mad but those things happen. Dick and I went to Lawrence Ferlinghetti's house on Easter Sunday - he welcomed us and was an inspiration to both of us. North Beach lives! Dick taught me some jazz; tricky for a classical player (French Horn) like me but I loved and enjoyed what I could. I will remember him forever.

I just heard of Dick's passing. So sorry to hear. Dick and I met in Jr. High School and became close buddies and long term friends. We did a lot of music together. He was brilliant and a great musician. My condolences to daughter Laura. Max
