I just heard of Pastor Dick's home-going. I am so sorry for your loss, and wanted to add my own thoughts about Pastor Dick. I will forever be grateful for his (and yours too!) care and guidance during my teen years at Perry Baptist Church. Pastor Dick was always an encourager, and a loving presence in my life during some very tumultuous years. He always believed in me - and I am so thankful God brought your family to PBC.

Unfortunately Sarah and I just found out about Pastor Dick's passing and the funeral services that have already taken place in the last few days. We would like you to know how sad we are for you having lost such a fine person. You and Pastor hold a very special place in our hearts. I know this is a time of much personal sorrow and rejoicing for you. I want you to know you are in my prayers and in my thoughts. Pastor Dick was a great man of God. We are thankful for the time he was at Standale Baptist. We look forward to meeting him again in Heaven.

Dear Anita and family,

I plan to attend the service at Blythefield, but if for some reason I don't get to see you, here's a hug. Dick was a wonderful man. Baptists for Life was very blessed to have him on our board and as a speaker. I appreciated his humility, passion for life, and stability.

Our prayers and thoughts are with you in these days. We thank God for the time that you and Pastor ministered at Leonard Htgs Baptist. It was a time that we needed some special encouragement and pastor and you gave so much love and care for the church family. We thank God for the privelege of knowing Pastor Cross. His love of God and ministry was evident. We love you Anita.

Pastor Dick lived what he believed. He prayed and worked in unity with those of like minded faith. His heart was fixed on the God he loved and his passion was to see souls won to the Kingdom. The Pastors of Portage respected his vision and valued his friendship.

It's been our pleasure through the years to have a relationship with Pastor Cross and Anita. Our staff's prayers have been with you during this difficult time. You have been a testimony of God's grace. We are praying for you and your family.
