Not sure what to say?

I am glad to be reminded about Dick's passing, but more importantly of my high regard for Dick as a person and for my good fortune to have known him back in the 1980s when I was involved in promoting youth recreational tennis in the city. He was great to work with. All my best to his family.

I've known Dick since I came to Flint as a greenhorn physical education teacher at the then, Bryant Junior High. That was 45 yrs. ago. He was always there to support people and once helped me have a Volleyball demonstration with my team. He also gave me a ride home one time, when my car would not run. He was a great guy and always had the most awesome tan. He will be greatly missed by anyone involved in Flint sports.

I was privileged to work with Dick as a volunteer trying to promote recreational youth tennis in the 1980s. As always, he was open to work with a volunteer to try to instill some new energy in a program to serve young people. He always was receptive, focused and professional.

From the Smith and McGarrigle families...We send our love and prayers to the wonderful Daly family. To help bring you comfort for your loss, know that God is holding Mr. Daly in the palm of his hand.

So sorry for your loss, Daly Family. Thinking of you - Rob & Nancy and Ellen and Jim. Sending Love.

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Dick. I haven't seen him much over the years, but I always admired him as an athlete and a person when I played against him in High School. Also the great work he did with the Athletic programs in Flint. He was a good man. Flint will miss him.

What a wonderful man. While serving as a Community School Director after Dick moved to central administration I will always remember the wonderful laugh he had. He truly enjoyed life.
