Sorry for your loss - thoughts and prayers - Hedy

We offer our heatfelt condolences to Dick's very loved ones. This man's reach spanned time and cultures and vividly pointed up the connections we all must cherish. It was a joy and a blessing to have known him.

My deepest condolence to my Cousin Nora in the lose of her husband. I admired Richard for learning the Tlingit Language. Bear hugs Cousin Nora. I love you very much.

The Lekanof family will miss this giant and humble man who was so well educated and accomplished. Through the efforts and dedication of both he and Nora, many of us have learned to speak our Tlingit language. He was active and dedicated to the Russian Orthodox Church of Alaska. All memories of both Dick and Nora are happy ones. The best one I can think of is when Flore (my late husband) and I housesat for the Dauenhauers when they went on their Grand Tour of Europe, Scandanavia, and Russia,...

I have good memories of Richard beginning at Alaska Methodist University and continuing since, my best to Nora and Family. In Good Spirit,

Dear Nora and family, my heartfelt condolences for your loss. Richard's contribution to Native culture and all of humanity is his legacy and it is great. He will be missed.
