Not sure what to say?

Dear Chris, Leslie and family:

I miss Mr. Dauer. I was devastated by the news of his death. He was one of the teachers who had the greatest influence on me growing up. It is very hard to imagine he is not here anymore. A day has not gone by in these past weeks when I have not thought of him. I am writing to say what a special person he was, and to say that I sympathize with your family on his loss.

I just heard of Prof. Dauer's passing and I just wanted to let you know that he will be missed. I am a student at Springfield College and I looked forward to his history classes. He made history an interesting subject and I specifically took classes because he was the professor. I'm so sorry for your loss. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

Chris and Leslie, and kieth,

I remember Ricky when the town of Clinton was much smaller than it is today. i remember Ricky playing baseball. A time when classes were small and we were much happier. He will be missed by all.

Sincerely,

Joe Kelsey

Dear Chris and Leslie:

Please accept my condolences on Rick’s passing. I am so sorry for your loss. I will miss Rick. He was a wonderful person; a model of an educator. He taught so much simply by the way he lived; the sincerity he radiated. I am so glad that my son Joe also had to opportunity have Rick as a coach on the golf course.

There are no good words of consolation befitting such an untimely loss; only a wish that time may lessen the pain and leave only...

Dear Chris, Leslie, and Keith

I wanted to express these feelings at the funeral but knew I could never get through without totally losing it.

Rick might have taken awhile to get his Dr's in History but I believe he was born with a Dr's in Humanity. He was a kind, intelligent, humble, joyful person who just seemed to rejuvinate me any time I was with him. I feel cheated I am not going to get to play retirement golf with him in NC. But hopefully he is teeing off with...

Dear Chris, Leslie and family:
There are no words to express how sorry we are to hear about Rick. He was an inspiration to so many people, and he will be missed by all who had the chance to know him. One of the last times I saw Rick, he quoted one of his beloved Yankee greats, saying "he was the luckiest man in the world". In reality, it is those of us who knew and loved Rick that are lucky.
You and the family are in our thoughts and prayers.
Sincerest condolences,

Chris & Leslie~
As mom has already expressed, we thought so dearly of your husband and dad. Such a great teacher, coach and friend. He will be missed deeply.

Just remember, we are not human beings have a spiritual experience, but spiritual beings having a human experience. He has concluded his human experience, but take comfort in what a WONDERFUL spiritual journey he is on now. My thoughts and prayers are with you!

Mr. Dauer was the most influential teacher I have had in all of my years as a student. His sense of humor and caring personality will be remembered and greatly missed, and he will live in on all of us who knew him. My deepest sympathies go to those closest to him. You are in our hearts during this difficult time.

I was deeply saddned to hear of Ricks passing. Somehow I still feel we are all teenagers from the class of 59, even though we are in our sixties. Although I have not been in contact with Rick, I and the other class members seem to be close after all these years. I'll miss him. Please accept my sincere sympthy.
