Not sure what to say?

Diamond family, I am so sorry for your loss. Mr. Diamond showed me a great kindness. He hired me to work on the switchboard at the newpaper when I really needed a job. I was only 23, and he took a chance hiring me. I later found out that my mother Mary Kruszewski) was his nanny when he was just a little boy. He was a very nice man, I will keep him in my prayers.

My Dad, Angelo Sterlacci worked in Maintenance in the 60's and had high regard for Mr. Diamond. Mr. Diamond was gracious to attend my dad's funeral in 1965. My sympathy to the family.

I was hired by Richard just after serving in the Air Force in 1965 & had the pleasure of working for him for four years. I read about his passing today & felt compiled to write. He was a man among men. I will always remember him as a fair & kind person & one I would look up to. God bless him and his family.

As a former employee of Richmond County Country Club, I was sorry to hear of Mr. Diamonds passing. My prayers to Mrs. Diamond and Family.

Great leader in the newspaper industry. As a former advance carrier (as a young boy) I watched the Advance grow under Richard's leadership and still read it in Arizona today. God bless!

My deepest condolences to Dick's family. What a wonderful full life he had. He was my classmate at both the Day School and Cornell. I wish he were still with us.

Dear Caroline,

I recently returned to SI to live after almost 20 years away. My Mom told me about your Dad's passing. I wanted you to know that I have often thought of you and your family over the years, and the time we spent as children playing at your house grades K-8. You were my best friend, and I loved to visit and sleep over your house. Of course, the house was so beautifully decorated, and your Mom and Emma were always so kind to us. And Sony and Richie were fun to...
