Not sure what to say?

It is with great sadness that I read of the passing of my friend, Paul. As a new teacher in the town of Constantine, I was invited to be the youth director of Paul's church. He was a true friend. My fondest memory was taking our youth group backpacking on an extended stay in the Smokey Mountins. While the kids got the seats, Paul and I sat on the bumpy floor of a van most of the way to North Carolina, but it hardly mattered as we laughed until we cried for the whole trip. Paul was a true...

When we were looking for a new church we found ourselves in Twinlake UMC. Upon arriving we were welcomed from the Pastor Paul and felt right at home. After the sermon and back at the house we didn't even hesitate to make our new parish. I've never met another human like Paster Paul, and probably never will. But what we have learned from him will last forever in so many of us. My heart aches to know his home with our GOD.AMEN.

We are so sad when those we love are called to live in that home above. But why should we grieve when they say good-bye and go to dwell in a cloudless sky? For they have but gone to prepare the way and we'll join them again some happy day. (Helen Stiener Rice)

I can only imagine the welcome Paul is getting as he enters Heven's Gate. Paul was an inspiration to all those me met. Paul may be gone but he will never be forgotten.

Thanks for all those great summer messages...

From the rich Farmlands of Dryden to the Lovely Green Lands of Ireland and more lately, the Rockford Countryside, comes the Heartfelt Condolences of the Doherty Clann of which Paul's pride was boldly on display. Working with Paul, this fact was very evident and we will continue our Search for his Ancestors who have just welcomed him back to the 'Fold' after a lifetime of endeavors for his Parish, his Clann and especially his outstanding Family, we will never cease our Reverence for this...

Paul was as true a renissance man as I have ever met and he was impossible not to love and respect. He was on the go and engaged with people and life. There was no end or boundries to his passion. It was family, family history, genealogy, history, religion and helping others-by training, education and charity. His smiling face has been an inspiration to me and it will endure. I thank God for the contacts I had with this wonderful man and will pray for his family and friends who must now...
