Richard Carl Dougherty

Mr. Dougherty had a great sense of humor, he was a fellow Rotarian. I appreciated all the positive approaches to our Jackson store. He was always supportive of the events we created in store. My prayers for the family.

At the Jackson, Mi JCPenney we were greeted every morning by Mr D with “it’s a beautiful day in Jackson” as he did his morning announcements! That memory along with the banjo band, epic Christmas parties and the “Dick Dougherty additional 25% off clearance sale” that would randomly pop up through the year and always on New Year’s Day much to the dismay of corporate.
My condolences to Mr D’s family.

I worked for Mr. Dougherty at JC Penney in Jackson, Mi. I will always remember him as the nicest man with a smile on his face every morning. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
