Dick will be greatly missed. He has been in my life since long before I can remember as a child. He was such a giving man and gave so much support to my family, specifically my father Gary Farnsworth, throughout the years. I remember going to Idaho Tent and Canvas often as a child and playing in the basement with all of the interesting things down there, and anyone that had ever been in that basement knows what I'm talking about. Uncle Dick was always my favorite!!!He LOVED and cared for me.He showed everyone hard work pays off.I will never forget he tried to get me to eat rabbit,but no thanks.I was glad for the time he came to see my DAD in OREGON.Our condolences to the family.

I met Dick when I started dating Margie Lacy's son, Mike, who I later married and had two childern with. Dick and Marg were operating the "Hitchin Post" then. Mike and I were married outside of the business on May 17, 1986. Dick worked at the restrauant and commuted over the hill daily running "Idaho Tent and Canvas". He was always HARD at work. Always focused to make sure things were taken care of. He was a genuine good person with a BIG heart and he will be missed! My sincere...

I worked for Richard back in the 1970's at Idaho Tent and Canvas. Brian, Dora and I use to work all night sewing canvas bags and listening to The James Gang. Brian and family, we are sorry for your loss.

I allway loved and enjoy Dick. He tryed to do all the work and leave nothing for the rest of us. May the Lord be with you. Jim Kline
