Dick was the kind of guy who would offer you his car if he thought you needed it. I will never forget his kindness and offer of his car when my father was dying in 1975. Dick and I used to see each other on occasion. I working in the Shawmut building for a law firm at the time.
A true gentleman and one who offered hope to many.

I am at a loss...the tears won't stop. i just came upon Dick's obituary. Dick was a very powerful force in my life from the day I met him in Holyoke on Steiger Rd. He and my mom Ruth Bresnahan were a great team helping those who needed help. They touched so many lives in AA. All the gang is together now in heaven...Emmett, Peggy, Claude, Ruth.... I can hear his laughter now......... He taught me to drive a car out in Westfield by Barnes Airport and then we escaped to a Dairy Queen for our...

Dick was the best of the best; I worked at Shawmut a number of years with Dick and his true love for mankind shined thru for the best of the best and just as strongly for those who were trying to hang on. Just like his Master, Dick loved them all....A true example of how our lives should serve. Thank you Dick, so glad our lives touched; thank you for reaching out to all those who needed a hand. May your family be Blessed in a very special way, with comfort and pride. Sincerely, Jackie Davin

..he leaves a void which will never be filled in this Area ! Our prayers and good thoughts go out to his family members...and our thanks...to you, too...for sharing this wonderful soul with us!! I, personally, will never, ever forget.."The Laugh"...especially hearing it at a time when I hadn't laughed in so long ! Today... I am
able to laugh..and I try to "pass it on" - as did he. Blessings !

A very good man. I will miss him and elders will miss him as well.

Dick made a huge differance in my life and I am better for knowing him. I do and will miss him and will remember him for the rest of my days.
