Not sure what to say?

In my 13 years in Barrington Hills, Dick (even though all of his accomplishments) was a friendly, considerate man to chat with. Actually, being raised in south Chicago myself, he was to me an example of stick to activity to get ahead.

Dick was a caring and compassionate friend to me during a difficult time in my life. His memeory is very dear to me.

Mr. Duchossois was not only an esteemed business leader on the local and national fronts, but also a highly decorated WW II tank commander on the battlefields of Europe. RIP, Noble Warrior

I was one of the nurses at Arlington since after the fire. I witnessed how Arlington flourished under Mr D´S leadership. I witnessed his dedication and total commitment to every inch of this beautiful track. I would see him walking the building as he greeted whomever he met with his fabulous and genuine smile. He was racing and Arlington. Rest In Peace Mr D. You will be missed and you will always be remembered. "Thanks for the memories".

Deepest condolences to a wonderful family. A family that was headed by a wonderful man. His bravery, professionalism and generosity will never be forgotten. A truly great human being. I was privileged to be able to know him through my mother and father, Frank and Betty Major.

With condolences to Kim, Craig, Dayle and the extended family. A remarkable man and life. It was a privilege to know and work for "Mr. D" out at beautiful Hill `n Dale Farm.

Mr. Duchossois gave his all to Arlington Racecourse, the Versailles of all racecourses, a beauty of a legend. We will all miss him and his magnificent enterprise which meant so much to so many in all its events for all ages. It was a class act. mjs

During my 38 year banking career it wasn't often that you meet someone larger than life and Mr. Duchossois was one of those people. Every contact was memorable and his accomplishments more so.My wife, Fanchon, joins me in sending kind wishes and positive thoughts to the family during this difficult time. Bruce Simons
