My former coach at Salve Regina. The toughest but nicest coach you could ever have. A wealth of knowledge and a pleasure to play and learn from. He built a program at Salve and did so much for his players. He drilled us for hours upon hours and I loved every minute of it. He made you compete and got the most out of his players. Uncle Duke was a celebrity to me. He was bigger than life and it was always special to have him at family gatherings. I thank him for his example as a man and his encouragement. Uncle Duke had a very positive impact on my life. Will miss talking with him. Nephew, Jim Roberts

Played football for Duke @ NU in the late 50's. He was a special man and superb coach. He made sure I played my best through his knowledge of how the game is to played, Duke he was a wonderful role model when I needed one..Bless Duke and his family!
