Not sure what to say?

Richard was a kind, gentle and wonderful man. He was my internship supervisor when I went to U of M. He taught me so many wonderful skills and important lessons as a social worker. Many years later, I still tell myself when I’m unsure of what to do now with a tough client or decision. He will be missed.

I met Richard when he was Dick Dutton in the late seventies. He did not remember me but I liked him then and I loved him to the end.
I was honored to be a co-therapist with him and we worked so well together. We also had Bullwinkle's Cornor at CATC where we talked about all kinds of things as we did paper work. He then was with Hospice and I had the pleasure to see his work there. We also competed on who had the most grandskids and compared pictures. God Bless Richard "Dick"Dutton. Oh how...

Richard was a great professional and a good man.

I was so sorry to hear about the passing of Richard. His work with people suffering from chemical dependency was done with the exceptional caring and compassion. I will always remember the loving caring and fun-loving spirit that was Richard. Love and blessings to his family & loved ones.

Richard always brought a kindness and intelligence to his work with others. It has been a previlege to work with him, and to learn from him. It is an honor to call him my friend. My thoughts and prayers are with Erica and his family.

I will never forget him sharing an anecdote where he had watched the movie "The Neverending Story" with a grandchild of his, and how the tears came as he spoke of the magic and love that he had experienced. It was as if he were a little boy again himself. What an honor to have known him and to be a witness to...

Mr Dutton was an awesome teacher. He cared about his students and really made a difference in my life. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. I hope you find comfort in the fact that he touched so many lives with his kindness. God Bless
