Not sure what to say?

Just learned about Dick's passing today as I scanned the AC130 Gunship Association Memorial Section. I remember flying with Dick, and also playing softball during our Ubon, Thailand days in 1970. These were exciting days---and nights---as we flew the AC130 gunship. Unfortunately, we both lost 10 very good friends on the night of April 22, 1970, fifty years ago. We suffered greatly together over this. Dick was solid as a rock as a friend, pilot and in his faith. God bless each of his...

Dick Dyer, I remember him from our days in gunships at Ubon RTAFB He was one of the few pilots I would fly with. He will be missed by all who knew him, GOD speed him on hid way to be with him

To the Dyer Family: I just learned of Dick's passing from the Arlington Diocese newspaper. We are on a trip and focused on Fr Dyer's ordination story until I realized that Dick is his Dad. Dick and I were comptroller colleagues when he was the SAC/FM and I was the AF MWR comptroller. We had lots of associations working on MWR issues. Dick was a talented, dedicated, and personable associate. Being able to see his son ordained was a wonderful way for Dick to move forward to a better life...

Dick was a great friend, we were classmates at Lockbourne and crewmembers on numerous flights. He will be sorely missed. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

He was a great pilot and friend.

I served with Dick during his gunship days in Thailand. I enjoyed working with him, and valued his friendship. I have missed him since we parted. My prayers are for his family at this time of loss.
